 Im assuming this is for an irc channel (not an internal partyline channel)
It would be best to use a +/- setting. As this can be sent (nearly) directly
to the IRC server.
 Implementing a different style might mean having to make certain
backward compatibility features. If the eggdrop has to send a
change flag command the eggdrop has to convert the flags to the
current approach in order for the server to understand it.

 Think thats a good idea, then we can see what you mean exactly.
It might offer a better perspective on the subject. I'm always open
to suggestions/improvements.
